Toshiba 42HL67 LCD Television - Accidently left cable box OFF and TV ON (Blank Screen)for over 12 hours last night - Will this cause damage / "Burn In" to my screen - Isee some background shadows when screen is blank but I think they have always beenpresent - If "Burn In" can I fix it? Thanks.
Hi and welcome to justanswer. To answer your question ;A completely blank screen will not cause "burn-in" it will actually help to clear them from previous applications/programs.Usually those burn-ins will clear themselves after a time , depending on how severe and how often you use the program (game ,computer, 4:3 tv shows, etc.) that caused them in the first place. There are softwares out there that are designed to run through a computer that claim to be able to remove severe burn-in but they may also dull your tv`s picture as what they really do is burn all the pixels evenly.Hope this help and let me know if you have any questions.Thank you.
