Hi and welcome to Just Answer. My name is XXXXX XXXXX have been repairing TV's Professionally for over 7+ years and currently own a Shop in FL.
If all inputs yield no sound but the built in Speakers are turned on in the Menu and the Volume is up then that only leaves the Audio Amplifier IC Chip (IC601) Part # XXXXX to be bad on the Main Board. This can be repaired by a Tech using an advanced IC Extractor for about $100-$150 if it is out of it's 1yr warranty or for free if it's still under its warranty. The reason for this during a move is usually Vibrations. If it's just a cold Solder Joint somewhere on the Main Board then a Tech can use an O-Scope to trace it. Hope this helps my friend.
Thanks,

Dear XXXXXHaving taken your seemingly sound advice to a local TV tech laband getting similar advice and arranging to get the TV set over to him I had another go at the TV Hooked up the previous old Tv set to the wall antenae socket simultaneously so as to get sound from the old tv and picture from the new one via hdmi connectionSwitched both tvs off The next morning the missing sound on the new tv came on !! and since then the tv working perfectly Do you have any idea whats happened ?Im plesantly surprised ( saved $300 in this country for a repair )sincerely XXXXX
Hey Jacky. That's great news! Hopefully it stays that way. The only thing that makes sense from an engineering standpoint is the time allowed for the TV's internal Power to drain and allowing for the NVRAM to reset itself. Logics have a funny way of playing games on their owners. Nothing else would really make sense on why a day or two later it just comes back to life.
I only hope its not a loose terminal or dicy soldering somewhere. Thank you for willingness in giving of your expertise. It was well worth being in contact with you.Good night from IsraelJacky H
No problem and have a great night Jacky.
Dear XXXX So sorry to have to back to you with the same problem In brief the TV sound functioned perfectly until a few days ago when the cable company stopped the signal for a few hours Unfortunately my wife temporarily unplugged the digital converter at its wallsocket and pulled out the TV wall electric supply plug When the cable signal came back the picture perfect and once again no sound !!Can you help sincerely Jacky H
Hi Carl Still waiting for your replyJacky H
It looks like were back at a faulty IC again. You'll need to get the Board Repaired in order to prevent this from reoccuring.
Hi CarlIll let you know the verdict of the repairman in a couple days from now.
Sounds good my friend.
Hi Carl Thaught Id let you know.
listen what happened .
Took the tv to a local expert He found nothing wrong except at one stage again picture and no sound He sent it over to a 2nd tv consult. Here the technician found absolutely nothing wrong with the board
The tv worked perfectly and he refused to carry out any repairs The tv is now functioning perfectly in my home And I have the feeling it will continue doing so as long as I dont disconnect the tv from the wall electricity Something goes happens when the wall plug is disconnected ! Simply weird.
Very strange! Thanks for following up on this.
