I have a Samsung LCD 42 inch from 2009. Half of the screen looks like a cracked windshield with colored lines across the screen with black background.

Power off completely. play with the remote.

Wow yes afraid so, usually happens using games like a Wii

I'm afraid its not an option to replace the display at this time due to costs ......it would equate to replacing the set as new so isnt an option

Don't play Wii and there is not even a scratch on the screen. Playing Wii damages the screen?

Its definetly took a hit from something i'm afraid.......

Yes playing the Wii isnt a problem however a bat hitting the display being used whilst playing Wii will damage the display.....
