Have a 1080p Philips 42" lcd tv. Had power board replaced this past weekend and now it shows that its 720p. Did they give me a cheaper part to replace the one I had in the set?
Hi. I'm Steve. I'm sorry to hear about your TV. I will try my best to give you a precise and accurate answer.
The power supply board has nothing to do with the resolution on your TV. That would be determined by the LCD panel.
If you are seeing 720p on your TV it is because of whatever you are sending it from your cable box maybe or your DVD player.
Remember, not all content is 1080p. In fact no broadcast TV is 1080p at all.
Again, it has nothing to do with the repair made to your TV.
I'll be here if you need more help. I want you to be 100% satisfied with my answer.
