Hi Steve,The TV will not power up on new energizer (4ea) batteries,however it will light the screen with external power source of 6 vdc. There is no sound and no picture. That's about the best I can do for you. Hope this will help. Bill
I just realized this is a small portable hand held TV.
Are you saying that there is no sound and picture on the external power supply or just on the batteries?
There is nothing on battery power and only back lighting on external power, NO SOUND NO PICTURE on external power

Folks, I can reverse engineer this thing but it is almost imposible without a way to identify parts and values. All I'm trying to do is fix the thing. Bill

Hi and welcome to Just Answer. My name is XXXXX XXXXX have been repairing TV's Professionally for over 7+ years and currently own a Shop in FL.
I have looked everywhere for the Service Manual and it's seems to simply not exist. I do know that the most common issue being reported on the TV-430 is the Electrolytic Capacitors going bad. About 5 minutes with an O-Scope will sort out which ones are the culprit. I wish I had better results, but it seems as if the Service Manual was never digitalized from it's paper form.
