You can try a firmware update on the Tv. Put your model number in and go to downloads:
If there are no firmware updates or you still have the problem after updating then you need to have the Tv serviced. Since you just got the Tv for christmas then it is still under warranty from Samsung. Samsung warranty is based on model & serial. Just contact them(NNN) NNN-NNNNto start a repair ticket. If you attempt any repair on your own or use an non-authorized repair shop, then you will void your warranty.
