That sounds like you are in the picture menu instead of the setup menu.

Tim

Customer replied 373 days and 11 hours ago.

Should only in setup menu?

Do you have other tvs in the home hooked to cable?

Tim

Customer replied 373 days and 10 hours ago.

No

Picture
Expert:  Tim Nolan replied 373 days and 10 hours ago.

Ok well there are two things you could have here, first is a bad tuner in the tv and second is a problem on the cable line. What I would suggest first is having the cable company come out and check the line. If they say it is good, then we are looking at a bad tuner in the tv and it will need t obe replaced. This type of repair generally runs around $350-400.

Tim

Customer replied 373 days and 10 hours ago.

Do you know by your experience if Sony will replace the bad tuner since we bought it on that black Friday last year?

Yes, if the tv is less than 12 months old it is under warranty and Sony will repair it free of charge.
