i have a hln617 all of my inputs except dvi and ant are very grainy, ive tried plugging into different outlets, different cables, different equiment. all video and components inputs suck can hardly see through the grain

Replace the Digital Board I have seen this a million times
is that easy to do
Yes Samsung does not sell it but you can find it on ebay
its right in back metal box
that will cause all but those to go crappy
why does my dvi and ant work so well isnt that part of the dvi board
they are a different path component 3 prob look ok too but not comp 2
all video and all componets grainy dvi and ant perfect

you have herringbone in the pix?
ant comes from digital cable box whats a herringbone
the dvi is being used by an adapter for blue ray hdmi
a noise pattern that runs through the picture and is very annoying it floats and changes speed and direction
yes kinda of constent but it does change from time to time and frequency
does that help
ok then replace the digital board
its that simple
make sure you get a rebuilt or NEW as this is a common mode of failure
and buying a used one will likely have the same issue
