Hello,

Sorry to hear about your problem. I will be happy to help but need more information to give you the correct answer (the more details you provide the faster we can solve your problem):

1. What is the full model number of the Tv?

2. What is the model of the vcr/dvd player?

3. Was this working before or is this a new hookup?

4. Does regular Tv have color and good sound?

Please reply here to this topic and wait for my reply.

"was working before cables were moved"

Seems like you have the cables hooked up wrong. Double check the cables on both ends. Make sure the colors match on both ends, like wire plugged into yellow jack on VCR/DVD goes to yellow jack on Tv, red to red, white to white. If your are using five wire connections then for video green to green, red to red, blue to blue + audio white to white, red to red. If you are hooked up using coax to the Tv tuner make sure you are on the right channel- 3 or 4.

If you have questions about this answer then feel free to reply here. It may take a few minutes for me to be notified of your reply so please do not start a new question or relist your question.

Thanks

Mike

only 3 cables green-blue-red.dvd is hooked up fine.tv does not have those colors.
Expert:  Mike G. replied 4 years ago.

The plugs have to match on both ends:

Green wire goes to Yellow plug on Tv and Yellow plug on VCR/DVD.

Blue wire goes to White plug on Tv and White plug on VCR/DVD.

Red wire goes to Red plug on Tv and Red plug on VCR/DVD.
