Hi. I'm Steve. I'm sorry to hear about your TV. I will try my best to give you a precise and accurate answer.
Can you tell us the make and model of the TV?
Can you tell me what is connected to the TV..a cable box maybe? Anything else?
Let me know and I will be able to help you.
Ok, you didn't give me the model but I will try and move forward.
Modern TVs have several inputs for things like DVD players, camcorders, PS3/Wii/XBOXes etc. YOu need a way to move around these inputs and select the one you want.
To do this there is usually an INPUT button on the remote - the Dynex remote. Press that button one or more times and you should get your picture and audio back.
Let me know. And if you can look on the back of the TV, get me the model number if this doesn't fix it.
I'll be here if you need more help. I want you to be 100% satisfied with my answer.

Ok, try the TV button.
By the way, you said you have nothing connected to the TV. I assume that means that you are using an antenna?
So you do have a cable box?
Ok, did you try the TV button on the Dynex remote?
Let me know.
Ok, are you connecting the cable box to this jack: http://screencast.com/t/RskQF9B2
Or one of the other connections?
