Electronics Pete :

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer! I am Pete, a TV expert, and I'm happy to assist with your question today.

Electronics Pete :

A pink vertical line on your Plasma TV indicates that either one of the address cards is failing, or the plasma display has failed.

Electronics Pete :

Having an address card replaced would cost around $150, however if the display needs to be replaced, this would cost almost as much as a new set, and that type of repair is rarely carried out.

Electronics Pete :

Some electronic testing would be required to determine whether an address card or the display has failed.

JACUSTOMER-z0wdc21g- :

WERE ARE THE ADDRESS CARDS?

Electronics Pete :

These cards are inside the TV and will be labelled as the SS or SC cards.

JACUSTOMER-z0wdc21g- :

I RECENTLY CHANGED OUT THE D BOARD . BECAUSE I HAD THE SAME PINK LINE AND A YELLOW LINE, THE YELLOW ONE WENT AWAY NOT THE PINK . DO YOU THINK I GOT A BAD BOARD OR MAYBE IS NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY?

Electronics Pete : How thick were the yellow and pink lines?
Electronics Pete : Were they always in the same place?
Electronics Pete : It's possible that the display cable is not connected correctly which could cause interference on the display.
Electronics Pete :

Can you try removing each cable from the D board and fitting it back in place securely again, also checking for any damage to the cale.

Electronics Pete :
