My Samsung LN55C650L1F 55 flat panel TV has started intermittently

Customer Question

My Samsung LN55C650L1F 55" flat panel TV has started intermittently blinking without warning. It will blink for a bit, maybe stop during a commercial, perhaps start again without notice and other times normal picture. What's up?

Hello
Welcome
Thanks for using JustAnswer

Does it do this on other inputs like a dvd/bluray/vcr?

Does the blinking look rather like an old cartoon flicker?

How old is the set please ?your country hasn't come up please indicate (where you are)

I'm in the United States. Yes, it looks like old cartoon flicker. I haven't tried it with other settings or peripherals. Don't have a lot of time right now.

Hi

Its the backlight flickering this is the lamp that illuminates the pixels, it could be flickering because its faulty itself (bad news)or because the invertor that controls it is bad, so the invertor is the most suspect here

I may be able to locate an invertor(s) if you can fit?
