my panasonic 50 plasma TV wont turn on. The red LED light

my panasonic 50" plasma TV won't turn on.
The red LED light on next power button is on.
but it doesn't show any screen.

Do you have a blinking light?

Customer:

If I press power button, it will turn on red LED. but TV screen doesn't show anything.

Customer:

but there is grey lit on screen and disappear immediately.

so the red light stays on or starts blinking?

and if so how many blinks?

Customer:

when I press the power button, LED light stays on not blinking.

Customer:

I hear FAN sound from top back of the TV. seems like power is going thru TV but not on the screen.

What happens if you push menu on the side of the tv?

do you see a menu?

Customer:

not at all. no other button is working except power button.

This is highly unusual for this tv

it uasully will throw an error code

I tried remote control but none of the button was working.

it wont turn on or off from the remote?

Early today morning, there was power outage for about 3 hours.

or did somehing happen Dropped...power surge .....storm....turned it on it was like this??...

it happened today.

im not sure if this will work

since its not listening to the remote

hold the vol down on the tv

at the same time hold MENU on the remote

ok, just a minute, i will try now.

tried but no effect.

ok do it again just to be sure

then unplug the tv

make sure you have the remote where the tv can see it

if the tv went ino service and we just cant see it

it will reset itself when we plug it back in

otherwise you have a bad A board

i just did as you said.

Customer:

but as I told you except power button on TV no other button was working.

tv remote control was not responding. other button on the right side of TV was not working, either.

yeah i was afraid of that

you need a new board

i found that board from google. but do you think it will fix the problem.
