We have an Emerson television and are wanting to hook up speakers.

Resolved Question:

We have an Emerson television and are wanting to hook up speakers. We bought computer speakers that have a regular headphone jack. There is no area on the television to plug in a headphone jack so we boight a female jack that plugs into our audio in the back of the tv. No sound heard. Any ideas?

Hi and welcome to JustAnswer,

Initially, the Emerson LC320EM2 does not have an analog audio output jack(s) and therefore would not work with the computer speakers. This model has only a single DIGITAL AUDIO OUT jack (COAXIAL). All the other jacks are meant for inputs.

A possible workaround is to connect the external sources (cable box, satellite receiver, DVD) to the computer speakers.

Please post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
