The volume on my Vizio HDTV goes up and down at will. It has nothing to do with the loudness of commercials - I have to use the remote all the time to keep the volume at the same level.
Why does that happen and how to fix it?
From your Owner's manual: LINK (Page 35)SRS TruVolumeWhen the programming switches to a commercial or when changing from channel to channel, volume fluctuations occur. When turned 'ON', SRS TruVolumeTM provides the listener with a comfortable and consistent volume level.
Turn this option 'Off' when listening to music.Check the Audio Settings menu and turn this on/off and see if it makes a difference.Let me know what you find. Thanks!!
Can't find my ower's manual! Will try to find the Audio Settings menu but don't hold out too much hope! I am completely at a loss when it comes to electronics. Sorry! I think I need a real person to come and help.
The blue text in my previous answer is clickable. This will take you directly to a copy of your owner's manual that you can save.I included the relevant part regarding SRS TruVolume. You must use the original remote.1.
