Hello and welcome to my name is hongkongpom and I'm here to help you with your TV problem.

It sounds like the TV can't recognize the video file.

Does it play on your computer?

What codec is used as usually the TV's play DIVX or XVID in an .avi container

Customer: replied 5 years ago.

it plays on my computer yes. i dont know what divx etc is, does that mean i have to change the movie file to a divx? they are in avi. format

so no sugestions on how I can get it to work?

Expert:  hongkongpom replied 5 years ago.

Where did you get the movie?

Yes, the most probable cause is the codec is not DIVX or the movie is not coded properly using the DIVX/XVID standard.

Customer: replied 5 years ago.

ok so your saying i should try and change the codec of the movie to divx?

do you know how to do that?

they are downloaded off the internet
