If you simply want to play the Ipod through the TV's speakers, then all you need is an 1/8" to RCA stereo cable. Plug into the Ipod's headphone jack, plug the RCA's into an open set of component RCA inputs on the TV< and then select that source on the TV. Here is a link to the cable you'd need:
