Chuck Williams :

Hi!

Chuck Williams :

If you turn the TV's COLOR control to zero, do you get a black and white picture?

Customer:

black/white/gray

Customer:

tint doesnt work

Chuck Williams :

I understand. If you got a good black and white with the color at zero, I'm going to take a wild guess that you are watching a high definition set top box, either cable or satellite, and it's connected to your set via the 5 wire component video connection, correct?

Chuck Williams :

If so, what you have is a loose or defective red or blue video cable. Try wiggling it on both ends and see if that doesn't fix it. If you had a problem with the green cable, by the way, you would get no picture at all.

Chuck Williams :

Let me know if that works, and thanks for using JustAnswer!

Customer:

we are checking

Customer:

We do have 5 wire component and we are still checking

Customer:

You are right the red cable was not fully connected to the cable box! Picture looks so perfect.
