Sharp Aquos LC-32DV28UT If there is a headphone jack, I cant

Customer Question

Sharp Aquos LC-32DV28UT
If there is a headphone jack, I can't find it. There is an audio jack but it sends no sound to my headphones or headphone amplifier. Is there some type of cable (digital audio coax?) that will connect to a headphone or to a headphone amplifier.

Digital Audio Coaxial Cables have 2 male ends. To connect to head hones, I could get a male to female adapter or something.

Electronics Pete :

Hi there!

Electronics Pete :

I am Pete, a TV expert and I am happy to help you with your question today.

Electronics Pete :

The Sharp Aquos TV's have no direct way of plugging in headphones.

Electronics Pete :

The audio jack on your TV does not output sound to headphones.

Electronics Pete :

The best way to get around this is to use a Y-Adapter with RCA plugs on one end and a 3.5 mm jack on the other end.

JACUSTOMER-wfxf0log- :

Meaning the RCA ends of the connector to the audio outputs and the 3.5mm female end of the connector to the headphone, right?

Electronics Pete :

Yes, exactly!

Electronics Pete :

There are other possibilities, but this is the simplest way to connect it up.

Electronics Pete :

If you want to listen in private, you will also have to turn off the speaker sound in the Menu settings.

JACUSTOMER-wfxf0log- :

Private is what I want.

JACUSTOMER-wfxf0log- :

I had tried that cable from Monster Cable earlier but the headphone jack could not go into the Monster's female end properly. I hope it was Monster issue.
