Customer Question

I have a KDL-32ll150 TV and a few days ago the remote just stopped working. I thought it was the remote so I used an identical remote from another SOny I own and it did not work either. Any thoughts?

Already Tried:
I have tried another remote and also tried a couple ideas from the SOny website that were not even applicable.

For Sony, that's an unusual failure -- sounds like the IR reciever board isn't recieving any IR signal from either remote.

Have you recently changed some of your TV room's bulbs to the compact flourescents? They are notorious for generating lot's of IR, and they can FLOOD the room with so much IR that the little bit of IR coming from the remote can be overcome by the lamps so they won't work -- unless you turn off the lamps.

Let me know if that's the case.

No changes in lighting. The remote just failed. I fear it is the IR receiver board because nothing else makes sense.
