Hi!

Chuck Williams :

I need the model number of the TV to help you, it will begin with a "K".

Chuck Williams :

Also, how many times does the red light flash before it pauses, then flashes again?

The model number is XXXXX The red light blinks 4 times.

OK, a 4 flash error code means that one of the fans in the TV isa not working.

All of the fans inside the TV have a sensor to tell the TV that it's working, and when one fils, it shuts the set down and makes the red light blink 4 times.

Do you have any electronics experience or would be comfortable taking the set apart to replace a fan? If so, I might be able to help you fix this. If not, of course, you will need a tech.

Ballpark cost if you hire a Sony tech is $250, parts and labor.

Let me know if you'd like to try to fix this yourself, and thanks for using JustAnswer!
