I want to hook a headset to the tv KDL-32L5000 have tried but no luck. Which plug on the back of the tv must I use?, andwhat size plug do I need? I pluged into the only rceptacle that the furnished plug would fit.It was an RCA wireless headset that I was trying.
Optional Information: Make: sony Model: KDL-32L5000 Already Tried: Tried to get it to work, but no sound at all.

I`m going to help you with your setup but first i will have a few questions;
Do you have a volume control on your headphones/headsets ?
What kind of connector(s) is there on the headset transmitter/base ?Rca x 2 type of connectors ?
Volume control YES, but has no effect
O.k the reason i was asking is because the analog audio output on your tv at fixed volume.
Do you have the 2 rca type connectors on the base of the headset ?
I mean the cables that will connect to the tv ?
Two connectors, one for the recharging of the batteries in the headset, one to plug into the tv. Will only fit into the one receptacle. the pc in AUDIO

Unfortunately it would seem that your set has no headphones connector.So the only way to connect your headset would be through the audio out jacks at the back.
That would mean an adapter between your 1/8 " phone plug that would go to 2 rca type connectors.
Which means that I have to get an adapter plug to fit?

If you can wait a minute i will find an example.
That probably could be found at radio shack or walmart.
OK I got the picture, now where do I purchase this item.
As i said above this can be found either at walmart or radio shack or any place that sells electronics
It would connect at the back of your tv in the terminals just below the square optical output
Thanks but I was looking for a much more simple fix than this. I am not entirely satisfied with the answer. I don"t believe it is worth the $17.00 I am being charged.
