Hello JA Customer
I have been fixing Tv and Electronics since I was 5 years old
With better than 20 years experience and 17 years in business
There is no changing it in the TV
You have to feed it HD in order to change it
There is no 1080p currently being broadcast
the best you coud do is 720p
1080p is blue ray or Dish/Directv only
The tv will recognize the signal and switch accordingly
What are using for a signal source?
and how did you hook it up?
Customer reply replied 6 years ago.
It is hooked to what is supposed to be Time Warner HD Cable box and it is hooked using the HDMI 1 connector in the back which is supposed to be the optimal for HD. It is also running 120Hz.

Turn the Time warner cable box off
on the front of the box
Press GUIDE and INFO at the same time and hold it
Follow the directions on the screen
Set to 720p
YOu wont get 1080p out of TW
Customer reply replied 6 years ago.
I set it to 720p but after saving it, it will revert back to 480i? Does this mean Time Warner gave me a normal box and I have been paying for something I don't have?
Anthony F., Owner of TV Service Center replied 6 years ago.
No what it saying is that if you dont save it wil revert back to 480I
the reason
some people cannot display 720p or 1080I
if the box gets locked into that mode they will have no menu to see to fix it
so it ask you if its ok
to save
say yes when you turn the box on you will have 720p
