Few things to check -

First it could very well be that you have accidentally turned on one of the closed captioning settings on the TV. Go into the menu system and make sure the closed captioning is turned OFF. This is the most likely problem.

The other thing to check - is to make sure your PIP (picture in picture) has not been activated. There is a PIP button on the remote - press it to see if it is off or on.
