Hi there and welcome to Just Answer. Thanks for asking your question. I'm sorry to hear about your TV.

To help you I need two important pieces of info:

1. Full model number of TV (look on the back).

2. The number of times the red light blinks before pausing and repeating.

Ok. Thanks.

Two blinks on a BA6 indicates a short - it is usually the HOT (horizontal output transistor) which is a common failure point on CRT televisions.

On this set, the HOT is 'Q502' on the board.

It could also be a couple of other things but I would go straight to the HOT and it's associated pump up diode and circuitry close by.

Repair cost - probably $100-$200 if you take it in. Keep in mind a new 24" TV is probably under $250.

I'm sorry it isn't the best news.

Let me know if I can help you further. I will be here if you need more help, info or have a follow up comment or question.
