Greetings and thank you for posting at JustAnswer! I can help you connect your DVD player to your LG TV.

Without knowing which model DVD player you have, I will give a general guideline. I will give you several ways to connect starting with the best quality hookup.

1. If your DVD player has an HDMI jack, then connect an HDMI cable from DVD player to HDMI 1 input on back of your TV
2. Power on TV and DVD player
3. Press Input button on LG TV remote, select HDMI 1

Or,

1. If your DVD player has Component Jacks (Red Blue Green White Red), then connect an a set of 5 Component cables from DVD player to Component 1 input on back of your TV
2. Power on TV and DVD player
3. Press Input button on LG TV remote, select Component 1.

Or,

1. If your DVD player has Standard Composite Video Jacks, then connect a set of RCA cables (Yellow White Red) from DVD player to AV 1 input on back of your TV
2. Power on TV and DVD player
3. Press Input button on LG TV remote, select AV 1
