Hello,

 

One thing i would try before calling a tv repairman, is pulling the back off the unit and on the Power supply pcb usually in the center of the set.(the power cord from the wall should lead to this right away) find connector P25 , Unplug and replug this connection and see if this cures your problem, second option after the first did nothing is unplug the unit andd disconnect the connectors A5, A6, and A7. Apply power to the TV. If a White screen comes up without shutting down, replace the P board.
Usually this will fail in an intermittent way but this can cause a permanent shutdown situation. The other troubleshooting techniques for this model are very in depth and can damage other things in the set. Technicians damage these all the time trying to isolate what the problem is.
