Toshiba DLP TV is making a loud buzzing sound when powered on. I cleaned the fan last week, but the sound persisted.

Welcome to Just Answer

I can help you with this issue,

The buzzing you hear is a bad color wheel

Unforunately the color wheel is part of the light engine.

#1 and #3 describe me best. Are you saying that it would only cost $250.00 or so for a repair man to do it completely, or is that only the labor component of it? Thanks!

That $250 would just be the labor charge.

The light engine would cost between $600 and $750 just for the part

It may be better to just buy a new TV
