Hi, I have a Magnavox 32" TV Model # XXXXX made in 1996 & I an trying to hook up a Sony DVD Player to it but there are no channels between 124 & 2. How do I hook this up to make it work?Thank you, Tom

Do you have the original remote control for this TV?
Do you have the original owners manual for this TV?
Can you see an input on the back (or side) side of the TV that is colored Yellow, Red and White?
Have you connected to that input with the cable that came with the DVD player?

Hi, I do not have the original remote or manual for the tv. I do have the red/wht/yellow cables correctly installed. The only issue is that I xcan not get to the channell I need to get the dvd player to work with the tv. If I can get the channell this will work. I already rescanned the channels & it goes from 2-124. I need something in between. Thank you, Tom
On some TVs you are NOT able to access the inputs from the controls on the TV. On these you must use the original remote control (or a good substitute) to switch the TV to that input that you have connected to.
You can obtain a substitute remote that will allow you to switch the TV at the site below.

Although, a universal $10.00 remote may allow you to turn the TV on and off and change channels, it does not allow you switch the input.
Before you order the remote control, you can go thru you menus (the way you had the TV auto-tune itself) and see if you can find a area that is labeled "inputs" or "video source". If you find the "input" area, you should be able to switch it there. Start the DVD playing before you start switching so that you will see a picture when you get to the correct input.
