How do I adjust the picture on a Samsung 55 inch LED 8000 series

Resolved Question:

How do I adjust the picture on a Samsung 55 inch LED 8000 series so it does not look like I'm on the set watching the show being filmed? A lot of shows (even in HD) look fake and cheesy

Is this Cable/Satellite only, or BD/DVD as well?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
I would say mostly on TV/Cable. I've watched 2 movies, 1 DVD and 1 Bluray thay were ok.
Expert:  Jeff the TV Guy replied 7 years ago.
Cable is notorious for having poor quality.

If the BD/DVD Looks good, it may just be the cable you are using.

How is the cable box hooked up?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
The cable box is hooked up thru a HDMI into the the Samsung AV receiver and then out to TV thru a HDMI, same as the Bluray player. I also have a Tivo hooked up to the TV with AV cables. The Tivo also suffers from poor quality.
Expert:  Jeff the TV Guy replied 7 years ago.
The Tivo is not HD, so there is no helping that, try to hook up the Cable directly for a test. I think it will look the same.

I like Dish Network, they have much better quality than cable.

Also, try an antenna with DTV Local stations, I bet it will look better than your cable.

I am switching to ATT Uverse on Monday. Do you think that will make a difference?
Expert:  Jeff the TV Guy replied 7 years ago.
I have not seen Uversee before, but it may be an improvement.

I do know, this is most likely not the TV.

You could ask about picture quality before they come out, and look into satellite as well.

I am sorry to bear the bad news.

I wish you the best.

Please let me know what state you are in, also how ATT looks!
