What is the make and model of this set?

How long does the TV stay on before it turns off?

While the TV is on, does it display a picture or anything else on the screen?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.

Sony wega 32" model#KV-32HF420 It stays on about 2 sec.No picture power light blinks off & on 7 times stops for 3 or 4 sec. then blinks 7 more times and just keeps on doing that.

thanks

Sony CRT sets are not my forte, nor do I have the documentation for this model. I'm going to refer you to another Expert; there are several here who are consummate Sony techs.

Hello

Thank You GregM

I am the CRT specialist

This fault 90% of the time is failure of IC6501 and IC8002 both MCZ3001D integrated circuits on the D board available here

http://www.bluestar-online.com/MCZ3001D_p/mcz3001d.htm

You would have to know how to solder and de-solder to replace these ICs and they are not easy to remove even if you do!

Their are plenty of soldering tutorials on youtube luckily

A technician would probably charge $250-$350 for this repair depending on factors like where you are

If you have any questions please ask

Regards

Anthony
