my kdf-60xs955 sony keeps turning on and off

Hi my name is Eric,

I can help you with your issue,

Please tell me what lights are blinking?

Green continious

Red continous or repeating 3 4 6 or 9 blinks

If you need more assistance, please tell me your technical ability,

1 I can solder and check voltages and want to know what board/part is bad so I can fix it myself

2 I am pretty good at figuring things out, but do not want to open the Tv up

3 I just know how to turn on my TV

This way, I can help you without getting to technical unless needed.

If you have more questions you can still respond until this post expires,

I will reply asap

Thanks

Eric

the green light is blinking about 5 times...the red is not blinking on and off

My technical ability - "I just know how to turn on my tv"

Most likey You just need a new lamp

A repairman would charge about $400 to come and replace it for you, if you want to replace it yourself I can post details .

Where to buy it for about $130

Where it installs in the TV

Let me know you would like the extra info about doing it yourself

Yes, I would like you to post details of how I can do it myself and exactly what lamp I am buying and where. With this information, I think we can conclude our session. Thanks in advance. Michael
