I have a philips 55pl9773 a message kept blinking on-screen

I have a philips 55pl9773 a message kept blinking on-screen to change bulb even though there was no flashing orange light by the power light. I bought and changed the bulb anyways and still have the message appearing- what is wrong

You need to :

 

1 Press the Menu button on the remote

control to display the on-screen menu.

2 Press the Cursor Down button to select

"Settings."

3 Press the Cursor Right button to select

the "General" menu.

4 Press the Cursor Down button repeatedly

until "Lamp rating" is selected.

5 Press the Cursor Right button to enter

the rating list.

6 If necessary, press the Cursor Down

button as many times as necessary to

select the letter for your replacement

lamp.

7 Press the Cursor Left button to return

to the "General" menu.

8 Press the Cursor Down button to select

"Lamp replaced."

9 Press the OK button to confirm that

you have changed the lamp.

10Press the Menu button to remove the

on-screen menu from the TV screen.
