Customer Question

I have a toshiba DLP tv model 44NHM84. It is only 2 years old and cannot get it to come on all of a sudden. The green light flashes for about 15 seconds and then goes to red (off). I have cable HD and tried to turn on with the cable disconnected and the original remote and the same thing happens. Any suggestions?

HiCustomer/p>

Welcome

You have a operation indicator LED (light) a lamp indicator LED and a temperature indicator LED on the front of the set just which one is blinking and which are not?

the one that blinks is the same one that goes to red (off) at the far left. the other two do not do anything

Hi again

This is important because you see that flashing is a diagnostic code so you must get it right, I have the service manual with the codes in

So the one blinking is the operation indicator

What color is it blinking?

Anthony

green

Hi again

If your absolutely sure its the far left indicator blinking and NOT the lamp indicator which is in the middle, their is no fault code for this blinking green

However I would still check the lamp take it out do you know how to do this?its in the user manual

Have a good look at the lamp particularly in the middle where the filament is as it can melt here.

If you dont see anything it dont mean the lamp still isnt ruled out or faulty

Please let me know post back

yes, it blinks for about 15 seconds and makes the same noise as usual, but then shuts off and goes red. it worked fine last night and when i shut it off, i dropped the remote and it still turned off. when i tried this am, it would not come on. could i have hit a button on the remote when i dropped it that could cause this problem?
