We have a 50 inch Samsung TV Model Code HLT5075SX/XAA and it is not starting. You try to power it up and nothing will come on the screen you can hear it trying to come on but the green light flashes then all three lights flash. What could my problem be.
The lamp can look good and still be faulty, if you have had the TV over 2 years then you need to replace the lamp, especially if you have the TV on for more than 4 hours a day. When you first turn on the lamp you will hear several sounds:1: the fans will turn on (sounds like a fan)2: the color wheel spins up (sound varies from a zziipp, to a mechanical buzz)3: the ballast will attempt to light the lamp (sounds like a bee is in a tin-can, pretty faint noise, the sound can also vary from model to model)Your lamp is most likely bad and needs replacing., sometimes they go out with a bang, but most often a lamp will go out with a whimper. The flashing lights on the front should match what the manual says for a lamp (usually all 3 lights flash, or just the lamp light) The lamp part number is XXXXX the left hand side of the TV on a sticker. You can go to "Laptops for less" (google it) and they have the cheapest lamps.Hope that helps!Mike
