I have a samsung DLP. It says not supported mode on the screen. I can hear the soung through the stereo but n o picture.

What mode are you playing it in? This means that the circuitry cannot define the resolution of the picture. The sound still would work though. If you are using HD or something like that and the settings are wrong, this would cause the problem that you describe.

Any ideas how to get it back to HDMI? Is it the TV or the receiver?
