Yes, I have owned the TV for two years and the image was perfect for those two years. Two months ago I turned my TV on and the image was no longer clear, it had red-purplish spots and they have been there since. I tried changing the Color, tint and sharpness levels, but the spots are still there. I also tried putting a different TV connected to the same cable that the TV uses thinking that the cable might have been the problem. However it was fine, so I figured the TV is the problem and I would like to know what to do about this situation.

From the information you have provided the optical block has failed. This is a very common problem with the DLP TV. I will suggest that you call Panasonic 1-800-211-7262 and complain about the problem. A persistent consumer can often get them to extend the warrenty to cover the cost of the repair. If Panasonoc would not pay for this repair, you will find that most shops will charge between $700 to $1000 for this repair.
