I do not like to reccomend replacing any part unless it is verified to be the problem and the other circuitry is checked to make sure they did not cause the part to fail. The service manual for this TV can be downloaded by clicking here for less than $3. Capacitors failing in the power supply is a VERY common problem. Look for bulging and leaking capacitors and you may get the TV up and running very inexpensively. If you would like for me to opt out please let me know and I will ask another expert to assist. Let me know either way. Hopefully replacing the bad caps will correct the problem.
