I just purchased a Samsung LN52A650 HDTV and a P2550 BluRay

Resolved Question:

I just purchased a Samsung LN52A650 HDTV and a P2550 BluRay player. I have a HDMI cable from my Ditectv box going into the HDTV. Can I hook the BluRay to another HDMI port on the TV or do I run it through the Directv box? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there and welcome to Just Answer. Thanks for asking your question.

 

Yes. Simply hook the BD player directly to the TV via HDMI. Then, when you wish to view a DVD, select the correct HDMI port with the remote.

 

There is no need to hook the BD plyer to the DirecTV box.

 

Sounds like some Blu Ray discs might be in the stocking this Christmas!
