ACCEPTED Check Mark

Hi Customer (name blocked for privacy),

Most DVD players have a small hole on the front of the tray that normally slides out for manually ejecting the disc. If your player has this, then straighten a paperclip and carefully insert this into the hole. Gently press and the tray should slide open.

If this works, please ACCEPT, otherwise please provide more information about your player such as a model number so I can help you further.

No! There is only a hole on the bottom of the unit directly below the DVD tray. I inserted a paper clip but no luck. I opened the tray lid and could not find any opening for the paper clip either. The disc and tray are still stuck. This is a Sylvania Video Cassette Recorder/DVD Player model#SRD4900.

Thank You! Shutting off and disconnecting the power for 30 seconds corrected the problem. JustAnswer.com is great. It saved me from buying a new unit.
