I have a Sony Cybershot 6.0. I have only had it

I have a Sony Cybershot 6.0. I have only had it since Nov. 2006. Last weekend I was looking threw the pictures that I had just taken. I cut my camera off, but when I went to turn it back on.. Not even 5 mins. later my lens would not pop out. It just beeps and says "Turn the power off and on again". Well I have turned it on and off.. on and off.. and still it will not pop back out.. I have a full battery and everything.. What is wrong with this stupid thing.. How do i fix it?
