Question

What's the problem with my Sharp copier machine?

The model is Sharp AL 1631. It fails to function, and displays a red icon (trouble indicator) that resembles a roller contained inside the machine....looks like part of the mechanical assembly. I don't have the manual to decipher codes/icons etc.

Your help is appreciated.

I wish to have an interpretation of the problem, and suggested solution. I appreciate your efforts, but I am able my self to net work links, repair services etc. As for sending for a manual, I wanted to bypass that for immediate help and am willing to pay for definitive info.

Hi Customer (name blocked for privacy),

The only light indicator that resembles a roller on your machine is the drum replacement required indicator light. If the light is steady, it means replacement of the cartridge will be needed soon and to prepare one for replacement. If the light is blinking the drum cartridge needs to be replaced with a new one for the machine to operate. I was unable to copy and paste the "icon" troubleshooting section for you from the manual on your machine so I am giving you the link so you can clarify that the icon you described is the same one I am referring to.
