Is your TiVo still under warranty? How long have you had it for?

This is Tivo's generic number. They should at least be able to verify for you that it's the box and not the programing or connection.
Unfortunately, TiVos are notorious for breaking. Mine just broke last month. You're expected to just buy a new one when they do, which is why the lifetime subsriptions are for the life of the box.
