Question

scheduled call to my Tivo

Tivo is unable to get it's regularly scheduled telephone call to my machine...accordingly, I no longer recieve the information and the ability to recored my "season pass" programing...I have checked the line and it works fine (I plugged in a phone to the jack and it worked)...but it doesn't work when replugged into my Tive...all I get is "call failed"...I followed the troubleshooting hints to no avail...So, now what? The phone # is 516 374 4077 and my name is Ed Wolf...The Tivo box is a Phillips brand...thank you

Have you tried calling TiVo customer support yet?

Since your TiVo is a Philips brand you'll want to contact this phone number:

9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Pacific

It definitely sounds like a problem on their end and not the TiVo. They'll be able to get you all fixed.

in order to get a techie on the phone at Phillips they want $20 up front...that's a joke

Is your TiVo still under warranty? How long have you had it for?

Have you tried this number 877-367-8486 ?

This is Tivo's generic number. They should at least be able to verify for you that it's the box and not the programing or connection.

Unfortunately, TiVos are notorious for breaking. Mine just broke last month. You're expected to just buy a new one when they do, which is why the lifetime subsriptions are for the life of the box.

forget it...they told me to call phillips and I've done that already...good try ...no success
