Here is what 1780 means https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/90220402/1780.pdf

It is a functional or electrical issues with the PNP switch. The park neutral position switch tells the vehicles main computer what gear you have selected so the computer can correctly control the transmission.

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
Do i replace the pnp swtch, the shift solenoid the shift sensors?
Expert:  Chris (aka- Moose) replied 11 days ago.

You will need to perform the diagnostic steps I senst to see if the PNP switch wiring is to blame or if the PNP switch is to blame.

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
How do I do that?
Expert:  Chris (aka- Moose) replied 11 days ago.

Can you open the link I sent?

Can you do those tests?

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
Im a quick learner. I just did the water pump and timing on my car in 5 hours myself just using a app that provides step by step instructions. I did it right cuz the car sound much better and feels better idling.
Customer: replied 11 days ago.
Email? Cuz there is no link on here.
Customer: replied 11 days ago.
I cant open it. I dont know why.
Expert:  Chris (aka- Moose) replied 11 days ago.

Are you on a home PC?

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
I got it open. No my cell. Where is that plug located? What do I set the multi meter at to test it.
Expert:  Chris (aka- Moose) replied 11 days ago.

In step 2 it states your checking voltage so DC voltage is what the meter is set to. The sensor is where the shift linkage connects to the transmission.

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
Ok can I go attempt it and get back to you once I figure it out and record the information I get?
Expert:  Chris (aka- Moose) replied 11 days ago.

Sure we can work through the results you get from the diag steps if your not able to follow those steps based on the results you get.

Customer: replied 8 days ago.
I couldnt figure out how to do the diagnostics test you sent to me
Expert:  Chris (aka- Moose) replied 7 days ago.

Since your not able to do the test it may be best to just replace the sensor to rule that out.
