I have a 2004 hyndai accent and it won't go in reverse and shifts hard
JA: How old is the transmission? Have you noticed any leaking?
Customer: It has 155,000 mi and I haven't noticed any leaking
JA: Are you fixing your Accent yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes I drained a quart out and put 2 quarts back in
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Hello, so it sounds like the transmission has some internal issues. Since it is not slipping you could try having it flushed and see if that fixes it. Usually it will get dirty inside and clog up the fluid pathways and this is why it will shift hard or not at all. Try to find a shop that offers the BG brand fluid services. You can find shops in your area on www.bgprod.com. If flushing it does not help you will need to replace the transmission.
