It is difficult to switch gears in my 5 speed manual transmission of my 96 ford ranger it happened once before and a friend fixed it for me. the plastic resivour right under the hood is just a little low. can I just add more fluir?
JA: Has the clutch been slipping? Are you having any trouble shifting?
Customer: It is hard to get into gear .. just started doing it. Have to double clutch to get it to switch gear, cluth feels a little different
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: would like to fix myself. all I have done is look at the level at the plastic resivour under the hood. have not openned it yet, it is about 1/4 inch low of fluid

Hello, the clutch master cylinder resouvoir is low on fluid, do you see any fluid leaks from the transmission bellhousing? WIll it go into gear normally with the engine off? Does the clutch pedal fell low or hard? Original clutch? How many miles on the clutch?
