Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

If the shifter won't move into park it could be an issue with the shifter itself, the shift cable may be damaged or out of adjustment, there could be an issue in the transmission itself, or there could be something foreign blocking movement at either the shifter or trans.

What will need to be done is either go to the trans or disassemble the console to access the shifter to first inspect for anything foreign blocking movement. The cable can be removed at the shifter to see if the shifter will then go into park on it's own. If not then there is an issue in the shifter

If the shifter does move freely by itself then the next step will be to remove the cable at the trans and see if the trans can be shifted by hand. If not then the problem is internal, if it can be shifted then the issue is cable related.
