08 town and country will not reverse, i was hearing a clunk when the brakes were applied for about a week
JA: How many miles are on the car? Are these the orignial brakes?
Customer: 103,000
JA: What year is your Town And Country?
Customer: 08 have had new brakes at least once
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: no its on the way to a shop but am checking to see what they say against what you might think
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: About six months ago, the steering was making a squeal and it was fluid that was needed, that is about all otherwise its in good shape and serviced pretty regularly

v 6 not sure of litres its the touring package was top of line in 08

There are only a couple of things that can keep you from having revers with this transmission. With you having a grinding noise, I would have to say that the planetary gears are going to be where your problem is. I hate to say it but the transmission will need to be rebuilt to solve this problem.
