I have a 2000 VehiCROSS that I was told the transfer case

Customer Question

I have a 2000 VehiCROSS that I was told the transfer case was bad, the front drive shaft was removed and ran fine for 2500 miles, had the transfer case rebuilt by a transmission shop who said they could find nothing wrong with it, we rebuilt any way. After replacing the case and drive it is like the front breaks are on, if you remove the drive shaft it moves fine. Do you have an idea what this might be?

Has there been prior axle repairs?

Are all 4 tires the same brand, size, age, and tread depth?

With the front drive shaft in it will move or not move?

If it will move does it bind worse driving straight or when turning?

Does it bind in reverse as well?
