Customer Question

I am unable to shift out of park.
JA: How old is the transmission? Have you noticed any leaking?
Customer: It's 8 years old. I haven't noticed any leaking
JA: What is the model/year of your Jeep?
Customer: 2008 Patriot
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I had all the tires changed this morning, could something have happened then?
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: It would be ideal for me to fix it myself, but I will take it in if necessary
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Jeep Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Hello, my name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I have noticed that your question was not getting a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here.

Start first with checking to see if you have a blown fuse. Check the fuse F4 and F 14 both located in the under hood fuse panel. If the fuse check okay and the break lights work then you are going to need to do some testing. I have enclosed the steps in the link below.

See the wiring diagram for reference in this link as well.
